This is a study I did for our watercolor assignment in Advanced Media. I usually don't enjoy watercolor that much, but I kinda liked this one... go figure.

Joe, I dont know how much you have fooled around with printmaking, but this image would make a really sweet layered woodcut, if you still did all of the colors, but worked them in by printing in different layer after caving away more after each layer...just a thought...you may not even like printmaking...
